About SAI Platform
The Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI Platform) is one primary global food and drink value chain initiatives for sustainable agriculture.
Established in 2002 by Danone, Nestlé and Unilever as a not-for-profit organisation, SAI Platform today has over 130 members across the agricultural supply chain. SAI Platform’s purpose is to harness the collaborative power of its members to accelerate the widespread adoption of sustainable agriculture practices and the transformation to sustainable food systems.
Through pre-competitive collaboration, SAI Platform works together with its members to create industry solutions which enable food and drink companies to source their agricultural raw materials in a more sustainable way, e.g. European Roundtable for Beef Sustainability, Farm Sustainability Assessment, Sustainable Dairy Partnership.
In 2021, SAI Platform’s Annual Event will go virtual for the first time, focusing on “Recognising the value of agriculture for a thriving future”.
